Howdy folks!

I'm so glad you're here

My name is Axo (named after my love of axolotls), and I'm an environmental scientist in Florida with a passion for conservation.

I became seriously interested in nature and wildlife photography while writing an environmental evaluation of a local park in Florida. I decided to upgrade from using my iPhone 12 Pro for photos to a proper camera, so I could better capture the wildlife and habitats I was studying. I read the Canon EOS R10 was a great budget option for beginners in wildlife and nature photography, so I took the plunge, and I've been hooked ever since! It completely changed how I connect with nature through photography.

I primarily shoot wildlife, but I'm always open to experimenting in other areas, such as landscapes, macro, and automotive photography.

Whether I'm out in the field for research or relaxing on the beach, photography helps me tell the story of the ecosystems I study. Through my images, I hope to inspire curiosity, awareness, and a deeper respect for the environment and species we share this planet with.

Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to explore my work or reach out if you'd like to discuss nature, photography, collaborations, or axolotls!

Mostly wildlife and nature (birds, reptiles, plants, landscapes). I'm open to experimenting with various types of photography!

Spoiler: I shoot with a Canon EOS R10 and two lenses that cover both wildlife and walk-around photography.
